This online resource of pharmaceutical assistance programs was created by EyeCare America, a public service foundation of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, for the use of physicians and their patients to help obtain ophthalmic drug assistance for patients in financial need. You can research which drug assistance programs cover your medications.
In a recent online survey, NCL learned that consumers are confused about the differences between eye care providers. Consumers have many choices of eye care providers – including opticians, optometrists and ophthalmologists. These providers serve a broad range of patient needs - from fitting eyeglasses to performing invasive surgery - and all have different levels of education and training. This link provides resources for learning about types of eye care providers. |
