 The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Florida invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor specializing in Glaucoma to support the expansion of clinical services. Salary, rank and tenure status will be commensurate with credentials and experience. The College of Medicine has an active faculty compensation plan which includes incentives and bonuses. Employer will assist with relocation costs.

2 Glaucoma Surgeons needed (Baltimore, MD and Washington, DC)

The Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group, PC (MAPMG) has an immediate need for 2 Fellowship Trained, Board Eligible/Certified Glaucoma Surgeons with strong cataract surgical skills. Experience challenging cases, seamless access to primary care and specialist physician consults and freedom from pre-authorizations and RVU's. Two, full-time opportunities are available within the region: one in Baltimore, MD and the other just outside of Washington, DC (in Kensington, MD). Surgeries will be performed at the nearby Kaiser Permanente Ambulatory Surgery Centers.

In addition to general ophthalmology, our multi-specialty team includes retina (both surgical and medical), glaucoma, pediatric/strabismus and an oculo-plastic surgeon. Nighttime, weekend and Holiday on-call duties are shared equally by all surgeons of the group other than the retinal surgeons who are on a separate call rotation. Our department collaborates closely with our in-house optometrists.  Support is provided by our highly trained ophthalmology technician staff who are required to have and maintain COA or COT certification.

Candidate should be comfortable with state of the art cataract and glaucoma procedures.  Applicants should be comfortable with EHR, current proficiency with EPIC a plus. 

Established in 1974, our practice specializes in Refractive Surgery as well as a very large general ophthalmology population in 2 locations.  We have in house Optical dispensaries at both locations.  Our practice is currently comprised of three surgeons and two Optometrists.  Our retiring senior partner has a 31 year established practice with 30K+ active patient charts.

Our practice culture is dedicated to providing superior service and compassionate patient care. The incoming surgeon can anticipate seeing about of 30-35 patients per day with control over their schedule.  We offer the latest diagnostic & imaging modalities, including IOL Master, Topography, OCT, Pentacam, YAG laser, and SLT Laser. 

Our practice has well-trained, COA-certified support staff along with an administrative and clinical staff with over 50 combined years of Ophthalmologic experience and patient care.  The administrative and billing duties are handled by our well established staff in house.  

The practice is located in a family-oriented community with many outdoor activities such as golfing, tennis, swimming, boating, fishing, hiking and all water and snow sports.   Sacramento is about 90 miles from the coast, mountains at Lake Tahoe, wineries of Napa and the many attractions of San Francisco.
