Senior Glaucoma Specialist 

The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at McGovern Medical School, part of the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston), is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible, fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist for a full-time academic position at the rank of Associate or Full Professor. We are looking for an accomplished academic physician with a strong record of clinical excellence, teaching, and scholarly activity. A generous endowment will be provided to support the candidate’s educational and research initiatives, for individuals qualifying for the Associate or Full Professor rank.

The MCW Department of Ophthalmology is seeking an academically oriented glaucoma specialist to join the faculty at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. This is an open-rank, full-time position in a clinician-educator track.

The position’s clinical activity is primarily undertaken at the Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin Eye Institute and possibly one or two half-days per week at satellite clinics; however, ophthalmology faculty members also provide clinical coverage at the Children’s Wisconsin, Froedtert Hospital, and Zablocki Veterans Administration Medical Center, and ample opportunities to teach Ophthalmology residents. The eye and vision group on campus is a physician led department consisting of 36 physicians, nine optometrists, and five research PhD’s.

Opportunity

We are seeking a fellowship-trained Glaucoma Specialist to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both the medical and surgical management of glaucoma as well as a strong interest in comprehensive ophthalmology. Our new Glaucoma Division has grown exponentially in just its first year and a half, creating a strong demand for patient care. This rapid growth has generated the need for an additional specialist to help support the service line and continue building on its success. Candidates will have the opportunity to assume an immediate, well-established referral base with patients traveling from across the region.

Glaucoma to join our highly collaborative and innovative team in Sunnyvale, CA.

Join a large and busy outpatient practice at the renowned Munnerlyn Eye Institute, a state-of-the-art medical center
providing comprehensive vision care services including general and pediatric ophthalmology, optometry, surgical/medical retina,
cornea, LASIK, oculoplastics, uveitis, and glaucoma. Position will largely focus on the treatment of glaucoma patients, with
glaucoma lasers available on-site. Glaucoma and cataract surgeries to be performed at the Peninsula Eye Surgery Center, a
Sutter Health surgical center. However, medical/non-surgical glaucoma specialists are also encouraged to apply. Ability for
rapid practice growth, taking on existing patients while building through strong internal and external referral networks.

Opportunity Highlights:
•    Focus: Diagnose and treat glaucoma patients with access to advanced lasers and technology.
•    Surgical Opportunities: Perform glaucoma and cataract surgeries at Peninsula Eye Surgery Center, a Sutter Health facility.
