Job Duties:
Geisinger is seeking a Glaucoma trained Ophthalmologist to fill a rewarding position in the Department of Ophthalmology at the new Healthplex in Pittston, Pennsylvania. Located near Scranton/ Wilkes Barre in Northeast PA, close to the Pocono Mountains. 
Geisinger Eye Institute: a driven, successful, and growing multi-specialty group integrating both optometric and ophthalmologic services. 
About this position: Modern clinic space with 30 exam rooms
• Three surgical facilities- An outpatient surgery center located in our clinic building and two at nearby Geisinger Hospitals
• Advanced technologies in diagnostics including HVF, OCT (Zeiss with Glaucoma Workplace and Heidelberg), FA, Fundus Camera, IOL Master, Immersion, Pentacam and Topography
• Treatment options, including SLT Laser , YAG Laser, Argon Laser, (Diode CPC) • Support from a PA-C's and will soon be partnering with SCRIBES

The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science at the Yale School of Medicine seeks an outstanding Glaucoma-trained Ophthalmologist to serve as a member of our faculty. The candidate must be eligible for appointment as an Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor at the Yale University School of Medicine. They will be responsible for delivering the highest standards of patient care, in a collaborative academic environment. The department has a long-standing tradition of excellence in clinical care and research in multiple subspecialty areas of ophthalmology. Our faculty provides clinical services for patients at Yale Medicine Ophthalmology and the West Haven Veterans Affairs Hospital. We have a strong and competitive residency program, which consists of 15 residents, along with two fellowship programs, including retina and glaucoma.
The Department is affiliated with the Yale New Haven Health System, a growing healthcare system including Yale-New Haven Hospital, Bridgeport Hospital, Greenwich Hospital, and Lawrence and Memorial Hospital. We have outpatient offices in New Haven, Guilford, Norwalk, Madison, Waterford, Greenwich, and Stratford. The Department is expanding into Fairfield County, New London County, and beyond. Our department is growing, with plans to double its clinical and academic footprint over five years, adding multiple new clinical and research faculty members to coincide with this geographic expansion.

Position Summary:

We are searching for a highly motivated, fellowship trained, glaucoma ophthalmologist that is interested in joining our very busy surgical practice in West Des Moines that also includes subspecialists in retina, cornea, pediatrics & oculoplastics. Referral relationships are well established with our organization and the successful candidates will be provided opportunities to strengthen these relationships in this subspecialty.
 
Our 3 current glaucoma subspecialists each annually perform 1,000-2,000 IOL procedures (avg=1,500+) and approximately 170 glaucoma procedures. Surgical volume for the open position is expected to be in a similar range. We own our 6 OR ASC that is 100% specialized in eye sx, allowing us to provide the latest advanced sx technology.
 
Our Clinic has been in operation for over 100 years and all ophthalmologists, who have established careers here, have enjoyed a fulfilling practice both financially and professionally. This is a partnership track position. Our average physician compensation is typically in the top 10% nationally. The practice has equal ownership across the physician staff and is managed on a democratic basis with one vote per physician. The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science at the Yale School of Medicine seeks an outstanding Vitreoretinal-trained Ophthalmologist to serve as the Chief of the Division of Vitreoretinal Surgery. The candidate must be eligible for appointment as an Associate Professor or Professor at the Yale University School of Medicine. The Division Chief will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of patient care, leading and expanding the clinical footprint of the research division, mentoring of other faculty, and developing faculty and staff while fostering a collaborative environment. Additionally, the Chief will play a key role in curriculum development, teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, and enhancing the division's national and international reputation. The division of vitreoretinal surgery currently has 7 clinical faculty members, and interacts with our research division which has additional faculty devoted to bench research in retinal disorders, including retinal physiology, stem cells, tissue culture and animal models of retinal degenerations, and understanding basic pathological mechanism including molecular switches in tumor metastasis, retinal signaling in neovascular retinal disorders, and socioeconomics of retinal diseases in vulnerable populations. The division chief will lead efforts to integrate the clinical and research efforts of the division and be tasked with propelling this section of the department forward to increasing national prominence.

Midwest Eye Institute is a physician owned all subspecialty private practice group located in Carmel, Indiana (suburb of Indianapolis). We are seeking a fellowship trained glaucoma specialist to join our team. 
 
The new team member will be one of only four full time glaucoma specialists in central Indiana with a patient draw from Fort Wayne, Richmond, Terre Haute, and Evansville, IN. The new associate will be walking into a well-established practice with a built-in patient base from day one. The new team member will also benefit from being in a brand new office (to be completed in Spring 2025).
 
This is a full-time or part-time employment position with partnership potential after only one year. We offer a competitive package with full benefits including production bonus, 401K, health insurance, etc.

Geisinger is seeking a Glaucoma trained Ophthalmologist to fill a rewarding position in the Department of Ophthalmology at the new Healthplex in Pittston, Pennsylvania. Located near Scranton/ Wilkes Barre in Northeast PA, close to the Pocono Mountains.

About this position
Modern clinic space with 30 exam rooms
• Three surgical facilities- An outpatient surgery center located in our clinic building and two at nearby Geisinger Hospitals
• Advanced technologies in diagnostics including HVF, OCT (Zeiss with Glaucoma Workplace and Heidelberg), FA, Fundus Camera, IOL Master, Immersion, Pentacam and Topography
• Treatment options, including SLT Laser , YAG Laser, Argon Laser, (Diode CPC) • Support from a PA-C's and will soon be partnering with SCRIBES
• Shared call (home call) 
• A large referral base from our onsite Optometrists, local Ophthalmologists and physicians in our satellite offices
• High surgical volume, with opportunities for comprehensive practice with cataract and glaucoma surgery Opportunities to develop new program, and perform research at a large, tertiary referral center
Ability to take on a growing practice complete with onsite Comprehensive Ophthalmology, Cataract, and Pediatric services, as well as a built-in referral network to offsite Retina, Glaucoma, Oculoplastics, and other subspecialties
